Reunion Lookups

Okay, big confession: I'm not looking forward to this reunion. Mostly because nobody is going to be there. Yeah, that's right, I can't find ANYONE to go. My parents literally had no relatives. So why did my mother want to plan a family reunion? I don't know. I think it has to do with her just wanting an excuse to throw a party. She's kind of conservative and doesn't believe in parties, but I think she's trying to justify it in her mind. I'm like, Mom just throw the damn party. Why have a reunion? There's no one to reunite! How can I find a person who doesn't exist? I think she also wants to show off her new bod ever since she lost a bunch of weight taking Phentermine. She suggested I take it too, but I'd rather just hike around and

The real rub is that I postponed my trip to Machu Pichu for this. I should've known better but I suppose I am just dumb like that sometimes. Maybe I can weasel out of it with a concrete excuse. Leave any suggestions in the comments, please.

Finding Relatives Is Harder Than It Looks

Well my Machu Pichu plans have been put on hold for a bit. No, it's not because the doctor yelled at me. It's because my parents just sprung on me that they're having this huge reunion in the fall and I need to be there. Ugh. I wish I could say that I was looking forward to it, but I'm just not. First of all, my mother is going to have trouble finding enough relatives for a reunion. We seriously have a very small family (both my parents were only children and so were their parents) so it's going to be a bitch finding people to go. Running a people search is hard enough when you know who you're looking for. Oh well, maybe I have a whole slew of cousins waiting to meet me. I really, really wanted to climb Machu Pichu though. Maybe it'll be better in the spring? One can only hope.

Finding People Who Like What I Like

Wow, being back on my leg after so long in cast has been great! I can't wait to get back out into the woods and do more exploring. My doctor has told me to let the whole wilderness thing go but I can't. I just love it out there and it's where I want to be, doctor or no doctor. I've been looking to find people who share my interests in the outdoors because apparently it's pretty rare around here to actually prefer nature to civilization. Which is so lame, if you ask me, but it doesn't matter because finding people who think like me is hard to do. I guess I'll have to stick with myself until I find a buddy. Can't risk more accidents out in the wild, now that I've broken my leg once already.

Once byproduct of me lying on the couch for a month has been my utter addiction to The Hills! That show is so crazy dramatic, I can't even stand it. My favorite is Audrina, which is why this rant to Audrina Partridge really hits home with me. I'm going to have to TIVO the new season though as I've just decided to go to Peru and climb Machu Pichu this fall.

Back on My Leg

I just got back from a backpacking trip while wearing a leg cast. Stupid me. I can't stay outta the wilderness for long. Just call me Emile Hirsch and you'll pretty much have me pinned down spot on and whatnot and such. My left felt okay, I took it pretty easy considering the circumstances and doctor's orders, and all. I even slowed down on the Vicodin, and my leg felt good. I think just sitting around makes it hurt worse, if that's possible. Person search says it's possible. What does that mean? Who knows. I just love finding people so there. We love it when (broken leg patients, that is) people try to tell us we can't do something. Just watch us!

No Extreme Adventures!

So, no more extreme adventures for me for a while. I broke my leg pretty badly. The worst part is, I broke it taking out the trash. I tripped over a rogue brick, because it was at night and I couldn't see anything. Great. No adventures for a while. So now I am bound to the couch and the laptop, spending all my time on people search engines trying to search people and do a background check or two. I also keep commenting to my friends blog, because I really have nothing else to do but read what she is doing, and live vicariously through her. She loves dangerous sports too! Oh well, I need to take a nap, the painkillers are killing me!

Fly Like an Eagle

Words cannot express what it feels like to jump out of an airplane. First off, there is no drop feeling in your stomach like you get on roller coasters. You jump and almost instantly hit terminal velocity, and that means you just, well, float. I mean, not really because you are hurtling to the ground from like 2 plus miles up, but it feels like, well, like you're flying. You can look around and you don't actually feel like you're falling at all, even though the ground is getting closer. You're so far from the ground too, it's like it's not even real. You're just part of the sky; I have never felt more alive in my life! And my guy totally loved it too! We are so going again, and are going to try to get our certification so that we can jump solo. I'm going to do some people searches on other people like us and see if they know any good deals on it all. It sort of amazes me how often I use people search engines--I even know about finding people who don't want to be found, as that link explains. I wish there was a way I could combine my love for extreme adventures and people search into a profitable career. These are expensive hobbies! I'm thinking I may try to write about my experiences for a local women's magazine. I'll let you know if anything comes of it. Don't forget to check out the sites I linked to above!

New Year, New Adventures

So Hawaii was so fantastic! My friend and I made some really cool friends, and in fact....I sort of met someone. Another person in my Scuba class, and we just sort of hit it off right away. Well it turns out he only lives like 20 minutes from me back on the mainland (as the Hawaiians call it). Anyway, he's been taking up a lot of my time, so I'm sorry it's been so long since my last blog. The fun part is that he'd never heard of people search before, so I got to introduce all of this to him, and guess what? I'm helping him plan a huge family reunion for his family. I found this great article on how to plan a family reunion, which was really helpful. And of course, more great people search sites that will help me find people. In the meantime, I have a new adventure I want to try--jumping out of an airplane! My new guy has done it once before and knows a great place, so we're going for it the end of this month! I can't wait!

Scuba!

After my kite surfing adventure, I decided that I wanted to learn how to scuba. I've actually always wanted to, but been a little afraid. I mean so much can go wrong. Last thing I want is the bends (even though that is a great Radio Head album). But, learning how to kite surf has given me the confidence to try. But, here's the best part. I don't want to learn how to scuba in just any old water. I am flying to Hawaii this weekend with my best friend in the whole world. When I told her that I was thinking about learning how, she told me that she had always wanted to learn how too! So, we decided that we should do it together, but it was her idea to go to Hawaii to do it. I cannot wait! I have never been to Hawaii before, so this is going to be so exciting. Anyways, I thought I had better get all my people searching in before I leave for a week. I bet I'll have to search people I meet on my trip when I get back though. My friend and I are so social, we meet people wherever we go together.Finding people online is the easiest way for us to reconnect and stay in touch with them, whether we meet them in a bar or in another country. Kite surfing, people searching and modeling

I opted for kite surfing lessons, before spending the money to buy the gear. Good thing I did that, my instructor can get us discounts on new gear and has loads of second hand gear to sell as well. So basically my life this past month has been about kite surfing and people searching. I want to make a "how to kite surf dvd" so have been trying to find a low budget film crew or someone who knows the filming side of things and want to work on the project (gratis). I I found a couple people and students online. I followed my only advice and people searched them all, before spending too much time building a relationship, that narrowed my search considerably. Feeling Cool Finally!

Finally, some relief from the heat, not much but some. So in people search news this month I have an excellent finding people link to share with you all. If you're as mad about people search as I ma you have to check out: People Search Engines it has some great people search engine info, which is the best one to use and so forth. In other news I've been learning to kite surf, what a rush. I am seriously thinking about buying the gear, maybe I should think about spending my hard earned cash on an air conditioner. hmmm I'll let you know what I decide.
